As Chairman of the Summerset Project, he will lead the construction committee, overseeing the construction process assisted by a team of advisors drawn from different specialties.

As Project Manager, he will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the construction effort and will liaise with other key team members. His experience in community mass communications and mobilization will be a great asset. Shakeman is a teacher by profession, and has more than 30 years of teaching experience, and 15 years in leadership positions. He also has considerable experience in planning, management and implementation of big projects, and has supervised the construction of a number of rural high schools in Kezi District, Matabeleland South, Zimbabwe.
